Tired old kitchen table. It was still solid and in good condition but seriously outdated. I painted it to match my decor at the time.
I first painted the table base, I sponged some highlights and added the hydrangeas.
I covered everything with a thick polyurethane coat to make it easier to clean
I also recovered the chairs with fabric that matched
The entire process was fairly easy and uncomlicated
Altered States
My name is Lise. I love many things but I love to create more than anything else. This blog will cover my love of creativity. This will be possibly the most diversified blog you will ever read as my interests are quite varied and sometimes unusual... or so I am told. Let the games begin.

Candle holders
Empty vases are a wonderful medium. So many options.
Here are a couple of them.
I first lightly painted glue then I covered them in different type of embossing powder.
Using my heat tool, I melted them. I added embossing powder as needed while the vase was still hot. You can use one color of EP or mix and match different colors.
Be careful and use protective gloves as to not burn yourself.
They make a wonderful candle holder. The light just shimmer through the tinted glass.
