Old kitchen set, new life

Tired old kitchen table. It was still solid and in good condition but seriously outdated. I painted it to match my decor at the time.
I first painted the table base, I sponged some highlights and added the hydrangeas.
I covered everything with a thick polyurethane coat to make it easier to clean
I also recovered the chairs with fabric that matched
The entire process was fairly easy and uncomlicated

Candle holders

Empty vases are a wonderful medium. So many options.
Here are a couple of them.
I first lightly painted glue then I covered them in different type of embossing powder.
Using my heat tool, I melted them. I added embossing powder as needed while the vase was still hot. You can use one color of EP or mix and match different colors.
Be careful and use protective gloves as to not burn yourself.
They make a wonderful candle holder. The light just shimmer through the tinted glass.

New hope for tired sweaters

Giving old sweaters a new outlook on life. Tired of old sweater? Treasure hunt at the thrift store was productive? Cut, trim, sew... and have yourself a whole new sweater without having to knit one stitch.

Art Boxes

I love to decorate old cigar boxes, unfinished wooden or chipboard boxes. They can contain a lot of treasures or just look beautiful displayed on a shelf.
I used a lot of different techniques: painting, tissue paper, collages and so on.

Bookshelf getting a new lease on life

A local bookstore went out of business. That's always sad in my opinion. On the upside they were selling their bookshelves. I purchased a few of them and proceeded to give them a new life. Here are the results. I am very happy with it.

I repainted them first. I added a mosaic of broken mirror pieces on the side. It now blends in any decor and it's a joy to look at.
